Conceived by the Jefferson Brass Company for the Classic Easter Egg Hunt.
The tradition of Easter egg hunts, while now a widespread celebration throughout the world, is believed to have originated in Germany in the late 16th century with Protestant reformer Martin Luther who organized egg hunts for his congregation where men hid eggs for women and children to find. Fast forward to today and the Easter Egg Hunt is a thrill for children of all ages who love the tradition with the ultimate goal of being the first to find the Golden Egg!
Whoever finds it first will be thrilled to know there is something inside this egg. With a simple twist, it opens and inside can be candy, jewelry, coins, dollar bills, prayers, secret messages, or your choice making it a cherished keepsake long after Easter.
Brass is a metal of the ages, and this piece will be cherished and will last forever. It is handcrafted to heirloom quality. Make your Easter Egg hunt unforgettable with the Jefferson Brass Golden Egg!

Because of the handcrafted workmanship of each piece, you may occasionally be able to discern very small inclusions, imperfections, and even slight size variations. This is to be expected, and we ask that you understand that they are an inherent part of the manufacturing process. Our products are solid brass, and we believe they are the best that can be made today. They sell themselves...just pick one up. Feeling is believing! If you receive one that has a slight discoloration, it is not a defect. It has travelled over 8,000 miles from the factory to our warehouse. Use a metal polish, such as Brasso or Wenol, to correct any discoloration.
